Member of the Future Technologies group. Worked on tools for high-performance scientific computing, including the programming language Titanium (in collaboration with the CS Division at U.C. Berkeley).

Assistant Research Engineer. Designed and implemented SHIFT, a simulation language for hybrid control systems.

In the Ph.D. program at Berkeley I worked on various projects, among which:
- Design of INFIDEL, a high-level intermediate language for modern fluid-dynamics algorithms.
- Implementation of a compiler and run-time support for INFIDEL on vector processors.
- Design and prototype implementation of Aleph, a language for typesetting.
- Retargeting of the Graham-Glanville code generator to the SPUR architecture.
- Design of multiprocessing extensions for Common Lisp.

Skills

Extensive experience with C, C++, Common Lisp, Scheme, Perl, lex, yacc. Familiar with most other popular languages. Unix kernel hacking. Virtual machine hacking. Compiler hacking (Portable C Compiler). Design and implementation of algorithms for compiler and run-time systems, such as: conservative garbage collection for C/C++; type inference by unification; code transformation by pattern matching; data flow analysis for data-parallel operations. Some Windows experience (development of programs, drivers, and DLLs).
